The Latine Achievement Ceremony celebrates the achievement of Hispanic/Latine and Caribbean undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral candidates. This ceremony provides students with a positive and rewarding experience that recognizes hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Each graduate receives a commemorative Serape stole to symbolize their academic achievement. The ceremony takes place during the fall and spring commencement.

We are excited to announce that registration for Fall 2023 VCU graduates (undergraduate, graduate, professional studies) to participate in the end-of-the-semester Cultural Achievement Ceremony is now open! Differing from the spring semester individual ceremonies, we will be celebrating students holding various identities through ONE ceremony held on December 6 in the Commonwealth Ballrooms.
Graduates interested in participating in the combined Lavender Graduation, Donning of the Kente, Latine Achievement Ceremony, Native, Tribal, and Indigenous Graduation Ceremony. Accessibility Achievement Ceremony. and Asian Pacific Islander South Asian American Graduation Ceremony are invited to complete this form (
